Our annual programme of events explore various digital photographic and imaging techniques. We run hands-on workshops where new photographers can learn and gain experience.

Monthly Theme – insects

  • 5th – Photoshop – members’ choice – demo of techniques and ‘stuff I’d like to learn’.  Deadline for YPU entries to Comp Secretary.
  • 12th – Painting with Light – practical bring your camera – Entries for Nature Competition

  • 16th – Members, discuss & illustrate ‘my favourite photo location(s)’ – Plus Judging of Monthly Theme for April.
  • 23rd – Photojournalism/Action Comp – Judge:- Howard Tate MA(Phot), ARPS, AFIAP
  • 30th – Outing:- Barnsley at Night – Practical – Members to bring Cameras & tripods

SUMMER PHOTOSHOOTS

All take place on Mondays

  • June 4th Wentworth Village 6.00pm – meet in the main car park in Wentworth.
  • June 25th Worsborough Reservoir 6.00pm – Meet at the small car park on Kendal Green Road, off Haverlands Lane close to Wigfield Farm – on the ’S-bend’.
  • July 16th Abbeydale Industrial Museum 1.00pm. – There will probably be a car sharing suggestion for those who are interested. Probably an entrance charge.
  • August 6th Wind Turbines above Penistone 6.00pm – Get to Thurlstone, follow the sign up the hill to Royd Moor, meet at the viewing point at the top of the hill. Good views in all directions, but can be very cold & windy.
